Leather Lariat Necklace

Lariat necklaces are very popular and have become much more common over recent times. The latest revamp of the lariat is the leather lariat necklace. Designers are constantly coming up with new ways to wear the lariat and new designs and the leather lariat is a favourite at the moment.

The Pandora Lariat is a thin, plain leather necklace. The idea is that you can customize it with beads to make it into your own unique piece of jewellery. The only downside to a leather lariat as opposed to a gold or silver one is that leather is not resistant to water. If you shower, swim or bathe while wearing your necklace, it will get ruined. You must take good care of your necklace as thin leather can snap if you are not careful.

Gold and silver lariats have a formal feel to them that leather lariats do not have. Leather necklaces are much better for casual occasions and look great with jeans. The great thing about leather chains is that they can come in many colours, although the most popular is black or brown leather. Leather lariats tend to be much cheaper than gold or silver ones as well, and they are easy to find. Any market stall selling handmade jewellery will undoubtedly have a leather lariat necklace on it somewhere. And, as with anything handmade, this will be a special piece of jewellery that will be completely unique to you.

For these reasons the leather lariat necklace makes a great gift for a young girl. If it is her first piece of jewellery you won’t want to buy her anything too expensive that will get lost or ruined. The variety of colours will appeal to any child and if she can customize it herself, so much the better!
